Many of you may remember that last week Google announced a test for 1 Gbps internet to 50,000 homes, possible even up to 500,000 homes in the US. But one thing that wasn’t really heavily stated in some of these posts is the fact that you can help to get your community nominated for this new Google network.
If you go to google.com/appserve/fiberrfi (or click the link) you can nominate your community for this new internet service. Just make sure that you get your nominations in before March 26th.
Now, I think that I should point out here that I am just a bit envious of you Americans. We don’t have anything even close to that up here in Canada. And with those 1Gbps speeds, I’m about ready to beg Google to move north.
In any case, if you want to get this internet make sure you get your community nominated. And could you put in a word for us Canadians while your at it.
