Warner and Fox Settle

Watchmen fans rejoice!

silkspectre2small

The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that Fox and Warner Bros. have reached a settlement in there copyright dispute.  Under this settlement it is rumoured that Fox will not co-own the Watchmen property or be a co-distributor of the film, but will instead receive some cash up front and some share in the profits from the film.

I have to say this is good news for all of us.  Well except for Larry Gordon.  Larry was the producer that sold Warner bros. the film rights to the Watchmen, without fully owning the film rights to the Watchmen. Apparently, Warner Bros. will be looking for Larry and his lawyers to reimburse the studio for the cost of the settlement.  I hope he has the cash.
