Hope for Haiti

CFH_child_photo Hey Guys!

I’m back from my week of vacation.  Truth be told, I started a new job and so I was splitting the week between my new job and trying to have some fun. So it wasn’t a true vacation.

But aside from the fun and the job, I’ve been keeping up with what has been happening with Haiti.  If you’re like me, you probably don’t like what your seeing.  Haiti is a country very much in need, and is quickly going out of control, with looting mobs and violence.

Haiti really needs help to get back to some semblance of civilization.  To that end, there has been a number of telethons and charitable events that have taken place for Haiti that you can still take part in.  Hope for Haiti was an international telethon organized by George Clooney and featured many musical performances that you can download from iTunes.  All proceeds from the sale of these performances will go to help the people in Haiti.  They also will accept donations on their site hopeforhaitinow.org.

Also, for those Canadians out there.  We had Canada for Haiti, which was organized by several of the major networks up here and took place just before Hope for Haiti on Friday.  They are still excepting donations on their site http://www.canadaforhaiti.com/.  So if you haven’t donated yet, make sure to get your donations in.

Hopefully we can all help to make Haiti just a little better.
